I really want an 8.5x11 or bigger, very low power e-ink device that I can use as essentially a photo display. I was inspired by this[0], but as I'm not a hardware guy at all, trying to make one is out of my reach. Hopefully this PineNote will become that device sometime. [0] [VIDEO]

Joan’s parent company, Visionect[1], also produces the Place & Play, a 13” or 36” eInk display[2]. Some guy created a rotating newspaper frame from it[3]. Looks quite amazing, and it has a 1 year battery life. [1] [LINK] [2] [LINK] [3] blog: [LINK] and video: [VIDEO] and code: [LINK]
